Emily King's latest EP, The Switch

I am a true-blue Emily King groupie! The Manhattan-bred singer/songwriter's music has provided the soundtrack to some of my most memorable, heartfelt moments. King's sincere voice, her abysmal lyricism captivate my soul with each listen, each repetition. I never ever grow tired of her music, despite the fact I play each song on repeat on a daily basis. My favorite Emily King track? If I'm forced to choose, I'd say, "Distance".

King's latest album, The Switch, released in June 2015 is nothing short of phenomenal, as it further showcases her soul-stirring artistry, maturity and experience. I purchased my ticket for her Houston show as soon as it was announced. The show was intimate and high-energy. I danced and screamed along to my favorite Emily King songs the entire time!

Staring into the "Distance" before heading to Warehouse Live for Emily King's concert

All general-admission concerts call for effortless, casual-cute looks. I knew that I'd be dancing, singing, and drinking, therefore, heels of any sort were out. I decided on a breezy, lightweight, black tank from Urban Outfitters and a pair of Belle + Sky High-Waist Pintuck skinny jeans, from J C Penney. Find them HERE. To liven up my look, I added a ton of bangles, and a cute wooden ring from Target. I wore my hair loose, adorned with a denim twist scarf, from American Apparel. I later switched up my look by pinning the top half of my hair up into a bun. My shoes aren't included in the picture, but I wore the Kesnia Flat Espadrille, from I scored them for $12! To finish off my look, I added a pair of extra-large gold hoop earrings, and a black slinky belt from Banana Republic. My entire outfit was about $50 bucks total!

What I Wore: Casually Cute in a breezy #UO tank and high-waist jeans
