King's latest album, The Switch,
released in June 2015 is nothing short of phenomenal, as it further showcases
her soul-stirring artistry, maturity and experience. I purchased my ticket for
her Houston show as soon as it was announced. The show was intimate and
high-energy. I danced and screamed along to my favorite Emily King songs the
entire time!

WHAT I WORE
All general-admission concerts call
for effortless, casual-cute looks. I knew that I'd be dancing, singing, and
drinking, therefore, heels of any sort were out. I decided on a breezy,
lightweight, black tank from Urban Outfitters and a pair
of Belle + Sky High-Waist Pintuck skinny jeans, from J C Penney. Find them HERE. To liven up my look,
I added a ton of bangles, and a cute wooden ring from Target. I wore my hair
loose, adorned with a denim twist scarf, from
American Apparel. I later switched up my look by pinning the top half of my
hair up into a bun. My shoes aren't included in the picture, but I wore the Kesnia Flat Espadrille, from JustFab.com. I
scored them for $12! To finish off my look, I added a pair of extra-large gold
hoop earrings, and a black slinky belt from Banana Republic. My entire outfit
was about $50 bucks total!
